The body of the murdered organist and regent of the local boys' choir, William Goetz, is found in an Armenian church in Paris. He wasn't just killed, his eardrums were taken away. The police are powerless: there are no witnesses, no visible enemies and no motives. An unofficial murder investigation is being conducted by a parishioner of the Cathedral, and former police chief Lionel Kasdan. Thanks to his old connections, he establishes a number of strange facts from the life of the murdered Getz - children regularly disappeared from the choirs where he previously worked. At this stage, he gets a partner, Interpol officer Frank Salek, who specializes in the search for missing children.<br />
Salek has been pursuing a secret organization that kidnaps children for several years, according to his reasoning, the murder of Getz is directly related to its activities. An Interpol officer and a former commissioner get down to business together. The more information they get, the more dangerous the game becomes.
